    First, I want to commend the overall assistance/support I have received, especially from Ms. Gina, Ms. Rea and Ms. Dannah. The cost of the tuition is pricey but theyve made it easy and affordable for those who do not have a full amount on hand by providing installment as alternative payment option. They also have flexible learning options which helped me balance my training in HIMTI and personal commitments. I also like that their curriculum is structured and comprehensive. The curriculum was well taught by their knowledgeable and multi-credentialed instructors.     I took my CPC Exam yesterday on March 17, 2025. The results came out today, March 18, 2025 at 5:00am. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve an above-passing score without the help of HIMTI. Before enrolling in HIMTI’s OSP course back in October 2024, I attended their September 2024 open house, and then attended again for fun at their December 2024 open house. I won a tote bag and a tumblr on both separate occassions, hehehe. The HIMTI community is comprised of lovely, passionate, and highly-skilled individuals. I’d like to thank the following who have personally helped me throughout my enrollment journey: Ma’am Gina, Ma’am Kim, Ma’am Rea, and Ma’am Mika. For the coding journey, I’d like to thank Dr. Ongaco, whose voice plays in my head like a broken record, gingerly scolding me as I studied diligently to remember very specific guidelines, and Nurse Franz, who helped me during a 1-on-1 session before the big exam. I appreciate all of you. The OSP course itself on the other hand is extremely thorough and mentally-friendly, taking in Filipino mind and its learning habits. Absolutely everything needed to pass beyond the minimum is included in the HIMTI curriculum. In the Philippines, I think it is safe to say that HIMTI is the gold standard training institution for a path into medical coding. Cheers, all!

    I took the 8-week Certified Professional Coder training course package with 1 examination voucher for the AAPC CPC certification exam.I recommend taking this course to anyone who is interested in becoming a certified professional coder.The instructors have deep and extensive knowledge of the material, which I can attest to as I asked a lot of questions to help me understand the lessons better.See, I have no background in medical or healthcare. I did not take an Allied Health Course in college; in fact, my background is in languages! The most medical knowledge I had in the beginning was from cultural osmosis.In addition to the superb instructors, we also had a rigorous battery of quizzes, discussion points, and examinations on top of the group work. They reminded me of my college days.At the end of the course, we had a performance evaluation to determine our readiness for the certification exam.     Being a full time nurse, it seems impossible for me to open my textbooks, listening to audio-video lectures and at the same time taking some important notes every after duty hours.     I started to have this training way back 2022 during live virtual weekdays schedule after taking a rest from running my small business. I want to start a new career path using my medical background but still have more flexible time where I can work in the comfort of my own home since I live in the province. During my original batch I was so focused in studying thanks to my classmates and trainers making everything comprehensive, and at the same time enjoyable and fun environment however, after graduation I wasn’t able to take my exam right away due to unforeseen personal challenges. I wasn’t sure if I still can continue after that. I had so much doubts since the book I have was still from 2023 update and I rescheduled my exam a lot of times but HIMTI did not gave up on me and I was able to sit in between live virtual classes as my refresher before I finally took my exam this 2024.It was a long and hard battle bouncing back and fort exchanging emails and sitting in classes but HIMTI helped a lot in bringing back my motivation and to persevere in getting my license in the community I wanted to be a part of.They will not only help you pass your exam but they certainly provide great foundation and teach you everything that you’ll be needing in real life coding.     Since I have enrolled in their 3 months Online Self-Paced Training Package for CPC, I can say that HIMTI has a well-made structured format of online modules that will help learners understand basic concepts of medical coding. Do note that there is also a 5 month Online Self Paced Access that can be bought at a much more expensive price. They also have a limited time of one on one training with an instructor if you have questions/clarification on concepts that are hard to understand. The company will guide and explain to you on how to use their online learning platform.I have enrolled November 2022, and by that time, the books being sent to me were for 2023 use. So the issue was that some concepts were not up to date (using 2022 codes), and upon taking some practice tests, I was tagged wrong even if my book, which is the more updated version, seemed correct.
